Set Goals... Hit Milestones

Discover What You Can Do!

DISCOVER YOU is an entirely new style of member challenge at Maxx Life, that focuses solely on motivating you to improve your fitness, speed, endurance, strength, core and balance.

When it comes to health and fitness, all too often, people focus on weight-loss, and forget all about getting fitter and healthier.

Discover You is about getting you Fitter, Faster and Stronger!

Discover Your Strength Fitness Potential Progress Success

How It Works

Discover You challenges you to improve your current speed, endurance, strength and balance using a whole series of specific exercises.

Members can choose the areas they would like to work on, whether that’s cardio speed or endurance, strength, their core or balance, and can work on improving several areas at the same time.

Find Your LIMITS

Then BREAK Them!

The challenge begins by finding out your current ability in any of the specified exercises.

Once your starting points have been set, the challenge is to achieve set milestones, showing improvement in each of your chosen exercises and areas.

How To Get Started

Step 1

Register an account

To track your progress and tick off any milestones achieved, you’ll need to register an account to access the tracker forms and save your data.  Simply use the button at the bottom of the page to register.

Step 2

Set your starting points

For each exercise that you want to track your progress, you first need to set a starting point.  Check out the Challenge info video for each exercise to find out any info for that particular challenge.

Try to complete the exercise challenge to the best of your ability.

Then record it in the Discover You tracker and save your progress.

Step 3

Train for Progress

Get training on the different areas that you are trying to improve.  If you are trying to improve your rowing speed, all HIIT cardio and speed cardio as well as general fitness exercising, as well as strength training, particularly on your back muscles, will all help improve your rowing. And most of all, consistency, turning up and working out regularly, that’s the most important part.

If you are training to improve your squat strength, all leg strength exercises, as well as plyometrics, box jumps, and general fitness workouts, will all help towards improving squat strength and endurance.

You don’t have to repeatedly train with the target exercise to get better at it.  Just remember, the most important part of improving, is turning up.

Step 4

We’ve set a series of ‘Milestones’ for every exercise, to motivate you to train hard and aim to improve.  After a few weeks hard training, you’re ready to test yourself and see

As you complete each ‘milestone’, tick it off on your tracker form.

Step 5

Community Motivation

Any time you achieve a new milestone, members are encouraged to write it up on the Discover You Milestone board.

We’re only asking members to write their name and the exercise that they achieved a new milestone in.  We’re not looking to know specific times etc.

We want the Milestone board to be motivating and inspiring, but not competitive.

Post about your milestone achievements on our Maxx+ Members only Facebook page.  Again, don’t include how fast you were, or how heavy you lifted, just that you have achieved a new milestone and in what exercise.

You v You
